Nurturing the Community Naturally
Kapalua Farms Division is nestled on 150 acres just south of Kapalua Resort in West Maui. It is the center of Maui Land & Pineapple Company’s organic agricultural research, sustainability and education programs. Kapalua Farms Division includes Maui Gold Organic (Kapalua Gold®) pineapple production, a produce and herb farm, free-range egg operation, tree nursery and compost operation. The organically-managed farm supplies resort restaurants and the neighboring West Maui community with natural products grown without the aid of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs are featured in dishes offered by chefs at Merriman’s Kapalua, Pineapple Grill at Kapalua, The Plantation House Restaurant, Honolua Store Deli and Kapalua Adventure Center Café. Produce is available daily inside Honolua Store. As the diversified farm evolves, a walking tour will be featured to explore the diversity of plantings used for production, education and edible barriers.

We believe that the impact of sustainable farming goes beyond the boundaries of the farm. Healthy farms improve not only the lives of those working the land and benefitting from its bounty, but also the surrounding natural environment from water quality to wildlife. Our island setting further heightens the need to live lightly and be self sufficient. With this in mind, Kapalua Farms integrates composting, egg layers, nursery trees, vegetable and herb crops, organic pineapple and community gardens into a living mosaic that cultivates value for our company and our community.
